Internet & managed networks — Tahmoor, NSW
Tahmoor is built along the highway and railway, and the internet quality changes street by street. We sort out which one you actually have.
One local team, four ways to help.

- Smart access & security integration — gate access, cameras and carpark connectivity, on professional-grade equipment.
Tahmoor has two shopping centres, a working colliery and a lot of people on stretched copper.
Tahmoor had just over 5,000 people at the 2016 census and has grown along the old Hume Highway and the railway. The town has two supermarket centres, the older Tahmoor Shopping Village and the newer Tahmoor Town Centre, plus a medical centre and plenty of small businesses that depend on EFTPOS and cloud booking staying up.
Tahmoor is on the list of suburbs eligible for the NBN upgrade from fibre to the node to full fibre. In plain terms, many homes still reach the network through copper from a street cabinet, and speed drops the further you are from it. Out past the town on bush blocks near Potholes Reserve and the Bargo River gorge, fixed wireless or satellite is more common.
Tahmoor Colliery and the Ingham's processing plant are major employers, so there are shift workers and trade businesses working from home sheds and yards. Early in my career I installed some of the first fibre to the curb poles in the Sutherland Shire, so I know exactly where those last copper runs let people down.
